Entry Requirements

All persons entering the Traditional Pharmacy program must have a minimum of:

  1. Five (5) GCE O’ Levels Grades A, B or C, or CXC General Proficiency Level 1 or 2 pre-1998 and General Proficiency Level 3 after June 1998, subject passes in Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

 

  1. Three (3) CAPE or GCE A-Level equivalent passes with Grade I or II in Chemistry, plus two (2) others in Biology, Zoology, Physics, or Mathematics.

 

  1. Or passes in the above subjects taken in preliminary and/ or introductory examinations in the Faculty of Science and Technology, UWI or equivalent examinations in institutions recognized by the UWI.

Applicants are also required to:

  1. If a student is enrolling with CXC and GCE subjects only, then this student will be required to enroll in the 1-year preliminary program including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pure Mathematics, Physics and Biology and /or Communications Studies
  2. Be at least 17 years old at the time of admission to the program.
  3. Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from people who are not relatives.
  4. Applicants may also be required to submit to a personal interview decided by the school.
