The application for visa
Students from all other countries beside those listed above require a visa to enter Antigua. The process is simple and again the staff of Student Support and Success Serves unit are here to help in any way possible.
The required documents are:
- Passport bio-page.
- Passport-sized photo.
- Birth certificate.
- Police record. This must not be older than 6 months to the date of the application. For students who reside in the US, an integra scan will be accepted in place of the police record. The integra scan must be completed on a nationwide basis.
- Student acceptance letter addressed to the student.
- Student acceptance letter addressed to the Chief Immigration Officer, in Antigua. Her full business address is listed below.
- A full medical report.
- A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate from students who reside on the African continent.
- If the student resides outside of his country of birth, for example, an Indian national residing in the UK, proof of the student's immigrant status in his/her country of residence is required. This would be in the form of a residence permit, visa, work permit, ecetera.
- Proof of accommodation in Antigua.
- The bank statement of the person(s) who will be financially responsible for the student's expenses, while he/she attends university in Antigua.
- An affidavit of financial responsibility from the person(s) who will be financially responsible for the student's expenses, while he/she attends university in Antigua.
- A student who is in possession of a US visa or permanent resident card; a UK visa or permanent residence card; a Canadian or Schengen visa, is able to travel to Antigua, without acquiring an Antiguan e-Visa. However, the student will be issued a visa on arrival (VOA) at a cost of US$100.00, during the immigration process at the V.C. Bird International Airport. Please note that in this instance, the student's stay will be limited to 30 days and he/she will still need to apply for an e-Visa to acquire an extension of stay at the Immigration extension unit.
Original documents are to be clearly scanned in colour and uploaded in no more than ten (10) files to Immigration Antigua and Barbuda | Department of Immigration for the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
