Introduction

The programme is offered as a 2+2 programme, with students spending the first two years in the Caribbean at The University of West Indies (UWI) and the succeeding two years at GIST International College, Suzhou, China. The students have an opportunity to complete an internship at an IT company in Suzhou, one of China’s most tech-friendly cities. English is the primary language of instruction for the programme, however Chinese language and culture training will be provided as a part of the curriculum.

Introduction

The UWI Mona Faculty of Law offers a prestigious Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, providing comprehensive legal education aimed at careers in the Caribbean legal sector. A notable expansion is the partnership with UWI Five Islands, allowing the Mona LLB to be offered locally in Antigua and Barbuda starting September 2026, featuring Mona's curriculum, quality oversight, and academic governance.

Minimum Requirements for the Five (5) Year Degree Programme

Applicants must satisfy the requirements in:
CXC/CSEC or GCE O’Level passes in a minimum of five (5) subjects. Subject requirements are Mathematics and English Language. Grade requirements for CXC/ CSEC are General Proficiency, Grades I or II pre-1998 and Grades I, II, or III from June 1998;
